We decided to breed Zima with our new outcross stud dog, Ranger, since it would be a nice combination in terms of complimentary traits and it would provide an ideal balance of the breeds in their recent respective ancestries.
In particular, due to Zima's high arctic breed content (approx 70% husky) and low wolf content (approx 5% wolf) they would be a great match for each other.
In August 2024, Zima was confirmed pregnant and we were very excited to see our lovely litter of Ranger X Zima puppies!
On 28 August 2024, Zima started whelping and everything went very smoothly.
In total, there were 7 strong and healthy puppies (3 females and 4 males).
