Pregnancy was confirmed via ultrasound scan on the 1st of July. Ziva had an x-ray on the 2nd of August and we only counted 1-2 puppies.
Unfortunately, Ziva had to have an emergency c-section when whelping stalled and, sadly, 2 out of the 3 puppies did not survive.
Due to his fighting spirit, we chose the registered name "Sylvaen Survivor" for the one living puppy and, over the next few weeks, he rapidly grew big, strong and healthy.
He was so large, in fact, that we nicknamed him "chubby puppy". In time, he developed into a gorgeous young male who we named "Shadow".
Since he was the only puppy from this particular combination, which would not be repeated, we decided to search for a "local" home for him, not too far away, where he would be kept intact for potential future breeding.
Thankfully, we eventually found the perfect home for him in Slovenia, with a lovely family that has a farm with livestock and horses, etc.
