BACKGROUND
Everest is our "Pick of the Litter" from our "Paw Patrol" litter who we kept for future breeding.
Unfortunately, after completing all of the required health testing at 12+ months old, sadly her hip score (FCI C) was not good enough to qualify for breeding.
(Under the ITR Breeding Rules, only dogs with hip scores of FCI A or FCI B may be used for breeding.)
Therefore, we decided to get her sterilized and she was removed from our breeding program.
Thankfully, all of her other health test results are good, so she will still be healthy and live a good life as a family pet, rather than a breeding dog.
(This is one of the main reasons why we often keep several youngsters / potential breeding dogs until they are fully developed, and all of the health testing is completed, because we have learned from experience not to put "all our eggs in one basket" so to speak.
So, while it is disappointing, it's not tragic and we have several other close relatives who can continue the bloodline instead.)
We were very lucky to find a wonderful new Guardian Home for Everest in Slovenia, where she will live out the rest of her life as a cherished personal companion.

Everest is a playful girl... she is very sweet and friendly, and she gets along wonderfully with all people and dogs.
She is very energetic and, overall, she has quite a lot of husky-like traits in terms of character and temperament.
